SZCZECIŃSKA SZKOŁA WYŻSZA COLLEGIUM BALTICUM is continuously ranked as one of the best private universities in northern Poland. It is characterized by great human capital and huge development potential. School authorities have managed to build an institution that gives its students a solid education and thus a great start to their professional life. It is desired to provide young adults with knowledge comprising many fields so that they can receive an interdisciplinary education providing them with a better chance on the difficult labor market both in Poland and internationally. Current educational offer includes following faculties: educational science (pedagogy), national security and foreign language studies at BA, MA levels as well as post-graduate studies. A significant part of research work is the dissemination of the institution’s output and the exchange of experiences through conferences, seminars and publications.

Collegium Balticum plays an important role on local educational market in terms of additional thematic courses for disadvantaged groups i.e. people from socially and economically disadvantaged areas, unqualified adults and others. Its intention is to cooperate with local institutions (local authorities, NGOs, companies, other universities) in order to provide thematic workshops and seminars and to attract target groups.

Collegium Balticum has good knowledge and experience in the area of pedagogy, security and law; institution provides studies at faculty of pedagogy (within courses for people that will work with prisoners and ex-prisoners) and national security.

As a research center, Collegium Balticum has also experts in methodology that will be involved in the project research processes. Institution publishes regularly scientific articles in the field of pedagogy within prison pedagogy.

Collegium Balticum cooperates as well with other institutions (public or private) at local and national level. Exchange of good practice with collaborating partners as well as organisation of different workshops, debates, seminars and conferences make the quality of studies higher and more practical. Collegium Balticum students are able to do their internships in partner organisations.

Collegium Balticum students and alumni are very often involved in pedagogical work within work with prisoners and ex-prisoners. There is a great number of people involved in voluntary or professional work for NGOs working in the field of prison pedagogy.

At international level, Collegium Balticum realizes several EU projects. In the past, institution was a partner of Depart project which aim was to develop educational processes using arts.

Collegium Balticum developed educational program and organized workshops in the field of photography, scrapbooking, handicraft and drama.
